Apple COO: Advances in hardware and artificial intelligence will revolutionize healthcare
On October 24th, according to CNBC, the US financial news website, on Monday, Apple Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jeff Williams represented Apple at the 30th anniversary conference and event of Taiwan Semiconductor foundry giant TSMC. At the event, Williams mentioned that advances in hardware and artificial intelligence will revolutionize the way health care services are delivered.

Williams said: "Maybe one of the most important examples is the use of transistor technology advancement and power expansion to revolutionize the healthcare industry. We believe that the transformation of the (health) industry has matured."
He said there are many elements that can revolutionize the way health care services are delivered, such as device-based computing, cloud computing, and learning through machine learning, deep learning, and ultimately artificial intelligence.
Williams also said that medical health electronics will be the future direction of Apple, and it is more important than anything else (product project). However, Williams did not disclose what new products Apple is developing in the health care field.
Previously, Apple partnered with healthcare organizations and research and development organizations to launch data research tools and product development tools ResearchKit, HealthKit and CareKit.
At a recent developer conference, Apple also shared the role of Apple Watch's heart rate sensor in detecting early signs of disease, which helps users seek help before it's too late.
Now, the company is conducting a large-scale study to find out if the device's existing sensors can be used to detect serious medical conditions.
Apple is also developing a number of research and development projects, including new blood glucose sensors, which could one day benefit millions of people worldwide. The company is also exploring primary care to improve the care process. (Little Fox)
