Do not use more base fertilizer for cotton and waxy wheat
In the last two years from April to the end of May, there were more windy and rainy seasons. Cotton, alfalfa wheat had fallen to varying degrees, resulting in a decline in yield and quality. The reason is that, in addition to the waterlogging in the field, it is largely related to the fertilization of the former pod cotton. Nowadays, hybrid cotton or hybrid insect-resistant cotton varieties have been selected for production. Farmers have increased their fertilizer use, especially the use of flower bell fertilizer. There are still many fertilizers in the soil after cotton harvesting that have not been absorbed and utilized. If the amount of base fertilizer is too large after wheat is sown, it is easy to cause late lodging. When fertilizing more cotton fields, the base fertilizer should not be too much when sowing wheat in autumn.
Generally, for every 50 kg of wheat produced, 1.5 kg of pure nitrogen, 0.5-0.75 kg of phosphorus pentoxide and 1.5-2 kg of potassium oxide should be applied. The application ratio of NPK is roughly 3:1:3. . The target yield increased and the amount of fertilizer increased accordingly. After wheat is sown, the amount of base fertilizer accounts for 60% to 70% of the total amount of fertilizer, mainly organic fertilizer, and suitable amount of fertilizer. Per acre to apply decomposition of organic fertilizer 1000 to 1500 kg, 10 to 15 kg of urea or ammonium bicarbonate 25 to 40 kg, 25 kg of superphosphate, potassium chloride 7.5 kg. Organic fertilizer is applied during tillage. Fertilizer is applied before soil preparation. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are preferably mixed with organic fertilizer. Nitrogen fertilizer is applied before soil preparation. For cotton intercropping with cotton fields, N, P and K fertilizers are mixed and applied before soil preparation, or NPK fertilizers are applied directly. The amount of fertilizer used is 30% to 40% lower than that of cotton after harvest. Ammonium bicarbonate cannot be used as a base fertilizer to prevent the early jointing of wheat when the winter temperature is high.
