Introduction to the washing method of glassware

Analytical chemistry laboratories often use glassware and porcelain, and experiments with uncleaned containers often result in inaccurate results. The utensils used in analytical chemistry should be clean and transparent, and the inner and outer walls should be uniformly wetted with water and no water droplets.

Washing should be based on the experimental requirements and the nature of the contaminants and the degree of contamination. When cleaning glassware, it is generally necessary to first remove the dirt, then rinse with tap water, wash with washing liquid, rinse the washing liquid with tap water, and finally rinse with pure water (distilled water or deionized water) three times. The inner wall of the container thus cleaned should be uniformly wetted with water and no water drops.

The beakers, conical flasks, cuvettes, test tubes, etc. commonly used in the laboratory can be washed by the above method with detergent and brush.

Glass instruments with precise scales such as burettes, pipettes, pipettes, volumetric flasks, measuring cylinders, etc., should not be brushed to avoid injury to the tick marks. It is best to use Y eadar laboratory special cleaning and disinfecting machine, special cleaning agent and The cleaning procedure is spray rinsed and blown dry. Or soak it in a synthetic wash solution or chromic acid wash for a while, then rinse off.

Glass instruments such as cuvettes made of optical glass cannot be brushed with a brush. When soaking with a washing solution, it is also necessary to prevent the problem of a decrease in light transmittance caused by infiltration for a long time. Because cuvettes are usually a color reaction, it is recommended to soak them in synthetic detergent or hydrochloric acid-ethanol solution for a few minutes before rinsing. Or use a laboratory-specific cleaning and disinfecting machine, special cleaning agent and cleaning program for spray washing and drying.

When washing glassware, the principle of a small number of times should be met, that is, saving and improving efficiency. Do not wipe the cleaned container with cloth or filter paper, as this will leave fibers or dirt on the container and contaminate the container. Dry when dry or use inverted drying, or use a dry box (if the solvent is used for the final rinse, do not put it in a dry box to avoid danger).

It is recommended that Y3600 automatic laboratory ware cleaning machine and laboratory bottle washing machine have good cleaning effect, stable use and guaranteed service.
