In 2009, the analysis of organic vegetables using a hand-held pesticide residue tester found that leafy vegetables, solanaceous fruits and beans were vegetables with high detection rate of pesticide residues. The detection rate of leafy vegetables was 45.5%, indicating that organic vegetables that have been favored by people have begun to be contaminated by pesticide residues.
