According to data from the Pharmaceutical Excellence Network, the demand for pharmaceutical safety talent has increased by more than 1 times. QA personnel increased by 176.5% year-on-year, QC personnel increased by 145.2%, and quality management increased by 167.8%.

Relevant data show that most domestic pharmaceutical companies do not invest enough in R&D. Affected by this, domestic pharmaceutical companies have introduced fewer varieties of innovation and the gap between them and international pharmaceutical companies has grown. Industry experts believe that increasing the cultivation of pharmaceutical R&D personnel is a tool to narrow the gap with the world. Therefore, pharmaceutical R&D talent continues to be the darling of 2012 pharmaceutical companies.

According to statistics, the demand for pharmaceutical research and development talents increased by 56.8% year-on-year. Among them, the number of biopharmaceutical R&D personnel increased significantly, and the number of researchers in molecular biology pharmaceuticals increased by 127.6% year-on-year, and that of biomedical R&D specialists increased by 96.3% year-on-year. With the continuous expansion of the biopharmaceutical industry, the demand for talent in this field will go higher.

The employment prospects of health care professionals are vast. Compared to R&D talent recruitment and job hunting, the employment market for medical professionals is vast. According to experts from the pharmaceutical excellence network, China currently has about 10,000 county-level hospitals and more than 2,000 counties and cities. Data show that last year, nurse demand increased by 4.7% year-on-year, general practitioner demand increased by 21.5%, clinicians increased by 6.3%, and Chinese medicine practitioners increased by 13.9% year-on-year (see Figure 3).
