Four kinds of commonly used fertilizers should not be used as seed fertilizer

One is a corrosive fertilizer. Ammonium bicarbonate is volatile and corrosive. It can easily injure seeds and seedlings. Superphosphate contains free sulfuric and phosphoric acids, which can cause harm to seed germination and seedling growth. Generally, it is not suitable for seed fertilizer.

The second is a toxic fertilizer. During the growth of crops, urea often produces a small amount of biuret. If the content of biuret exceeds 2%, it will poison the seeds and seedlings. In addition, urea molecules with a high nitrogen content penetrate into the protein molecules of the seed, denature the protein, and poison the seeds and young roots.

The third is fertilizer containing harmful ions. Potassium chloride and other chemical fertilizers containing chloride ions will produce water-soluble chlorides when applied to the soil, adverse to seed germination and seedling growth, and even burning seedlings. Nitrate ions contained in fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate and potassium nitrate are poisonous to the germination of seeds.

The fourth is unfamiliar farmyard fertilizer. Rural common manure, human waste water and so on.
