According to statistics from the Argentine National Quarantine Agency, in 2010, the total number of fish products exported in Afghanistan was approximately 307,040 tons, valued at US$636.2 million, and shellfish products were 12,081,100 tons, valued at US$569.1 million.
Among them, No. 1 export ranks first, totaling 152.427 million tons, valued at US$ 346.7 million, which is a year-on-year decrease of 0.8%, and the amount increased by 1.7%. The second place is shrimp, with a total volume of 609.91 million tons, valued at US$416.1 million, an increase of 19.2% and 29.4% year-on-year respectively. The third, fourth, and fifth place are squid, giggish fish, and anchovies, respectively.
