India and the United States cooperate to develop new oncology drugs

According to the Indian Economic Times, the US biopharmaceutical giant Aibowei and the Indian pharmaceutical giant Rubin reached a cooperation agreement to invest $1 billion to jointly develop innovative MALT-1 inhibitors for the treatment of cancers in the blood system.

According to reports, Rubin has granted Abbie a global exclusive right to develop and commercialize the MALT1 (mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma translocation protein 1) inhibitor project pioneered by Rubin. MALT-1 is a protein involved in the activation of T cell and B cell lymphocytes, and Abbott plans to develop several new drugs in the MALT1 inhibitor project for a range of hematological cancers. Under the agreement, Abbott will pay a $30 million advance payment to Rubin to obtain an exclusive license for the Rubin MALT-1 inhibitor project. Tom Hudson, vice president of drug development at Abbey, said that Rubin's MALT1 project is exploring a new approach to treating refractory cancer. Aberdeen is committed to bringing advanced treatments to patients and looking forward to new drug development with Rubin. Project cooperation brings new hope to patients.
