Mulberry Management Technology
As the saying goes, the one-year plan lies in the spring. With the approach of sericulture production, effectively strengthening the management of Fengshui in the old mulberry garden and raising the survival rate of the new planting mulberry garden is the key to building a high-yielding mulberry garden. Formulate the following management measures:
Old mulberry garden
Spring tillage and weed control Due to the farming practices of mulberry farmers, mulberry gardens generally do not perform spring ploughing. In fact, there are three major benefits of spring plowing: 1. Improve soil structure, increase soil aeration, and maintain soil moisture, which is conducive to drought resistance. 2. In addition to the new year grass, reduce grass damage. 3. Loose soil is conducive to the activity of microorganisms, so that the nutrients that are difficult to use in the soil can be converted into a state that can increase the soil fertility. Therefore, Sang Nong must raise awareness and actively carry out spring plowing. Spring plowing takes place before the mulberry sprouts in the spring and is usually plowed to a depth of 7 to 10 cm.
Irrigation in winter and spring, and even drought, mulberry long-term lack of water, mulberry leaves grow slowly, causing damage to the production of spring silkworm. Therefore, Sang Nong must find ways to irrigate Mulberry Garden. According to the irrigation conditions, it is generally possible to adopt methods such as hole irrigation, flood irrigation, furrow irrigation, and sprinkler irrigation.
Fertilizer Shichun fertilizer has obvious effect of increasing yield. Fertilizer is mainly quick-release fertilizer. Urea is generally about 20 kg per mu. If combined with mulberry garden irrigation, the effect is better.
Sparse buds and sparse buds refer to the timely sparse germination of premature buds. According to the principles of keeping weak, staying dense, and staying empty, the new shoots such as dense, profuse, communicative, sagging, cessation of heart, and pests and shoots should be promptly removed. Generally, each bud or branch keeps three to four buds of new shoots, and the rest are sparse, reaching thousands of ten thousand pieces. There is a saying in the agricultural reclamation that there is “disposal of shoots like manure (fertilizer)â€, and the importance of sparse buds can be seen.

Irrigation, drainage, depending on the climate, the drought should be filled with water, and areas where there is a lot of rain or sinking water should be drained. Most of the newly planted mulberry fields are planted on hillside grounds. According to the current climate conditions, it is necessary to adopt irrigation measures such as irrigation, flood irrigation and furrow irrigation. Watering can be done at the junction of the mulberry and the film, once every 10 days, until the rain comes, to ensure that the mulberry survives.
Weeding According to the condition of the mulberry garden, weeding is required to prevent weeds from growing and threaten the growth of young mulberries.
Fertilization In order to promote the accelerated growth of saplings, appropriate diluted human urine should be applied.
After budding mulberry sprouts, when buds grow to about 10 cm, budding buds should be carried out according to the requirements for tree growth. The sparse buds must be kept weak and strong, and attention should be paid to the left buds, with an appropriate distribution angle, in order to maintain a good tree shape.
In the early spring, the uncovered film usually receives little rain, and sometimes even less rainfall occurs throughout the spring. Therefore, the uncovering time of the new planting mulberry garden is generally set to take place during the rain to ensure the survival rate of the mulberry tree.
Precautions
(1) When pest control in mulberry fields is conducted, pesticides with a long residue period cannot be used, and in particular, chrysanthemum pesticides such as chrysanthemum emulsifiable concentrate must be prohibited. It is recommended to use dichlorvos with a short residual period to ensure the safety of silkworm breeding.
(b) When the first topdressing of new planted mulberry gardens is performed, dilution of human excreta is frequently used, and as little or no chemical fertilizer is used as possible to avoid burning seedlings.
(3) Before the arrival of rain, the newly planted mulberry garden will not be cultivated, so as to prevent the loss of water from the pine nut film and affect the survival of the mulberry tree.
