Nine vegetable seed germination
As an old agricultural worker, the author often hears that farmers' friends report that the seeds are not germinating well or germinate very little. After many years of investigation, I discovered that some were not caused by seed quality problems, but because of improper seed germination techniques. Here are the highlights of the germination techniques for the nine common vegetable seeds.
1. Celery: Soak in fresh water for 12 to 24 hours. Rinse with water and rub it with your hands. Open the seed coat and spread it to dry. After the seed moisture is slightly dry, wrap it with a damp cloth and place it in a cool place at about 20°C. Seeds can be sowed after 3 to 4 days.
2. Celery: Seed soaking in warm water at 48°C for 30 minutes, and then germinate with 15 to 20°C in a wet gauze, and often panning. Seeds can be sowed after 7 to 12 days.
3. The fungus (Lacrose): soaking in warm water of 25 ~ 30 °C for 1 ~ 2 days, and germination at a temperature of about 30 °C, can be sown in about 7 days.
4. Spinach: Seed soaking in fresh water for 12 to 24 hours. Stir thoroughly in water and germinate at a temperature of 10 to 15°C. After 3 to 4 days, most seeds can be sown.
5. Lettuce: Seeds are soaked for 5 to 10 hours after washing, removed and placed at 5°C for a day and night, and then spread on a wet towel (gauze), covered with a layer of gauze moisturizing, indoor light germination, 1 to 2 days after sowing, broadcast After the soil is kept moist, it is better to not cover the soil.
6. Coriander (cilantro): Before sowing, the fruit should be split open, immersed in fresh water for 12 to 24 hours, and germinated at a temperature of 20 to 32°C until most of the seeds have germinated.
7. Convolvulus soaking in warm water of 50~55°C, stirring constantly to water temperature of 30°C, keeping soaking for 5~10 hours at constant temperature, removing it with wet cloth, germinating at 20~25°C, sowing most seed germination After the broadcast, cover the insulation.
8. Carrots: Use high-quality new seeds, go bristles, and create good germination conditions. Sprouting after germination.
9. Vegetable bowl beans: use high-quality new seeds, soaking in warm water at 25~30°C for 1~2 days, and germination at a temperature of 20~30°C. Most seeds can be sowed after germination.
