Ways to save feed for laying hens
Choose different feeds. Feed different feeds according to different seasons and stages. In the early stage of laying eggs, the nutrition level should be higher than the feeding standards; the nutrient levels should be appropriately reduced in the later stage of laying eggs.
Improve dietary protein levels. In summer, when the intake of eggs is reduced, the protein level of the diet needs to be increased, preferably 19%, and if amino acids are added, 17% is appropriate.
The proportion of male and female is appropriate. Before the chickens grow to the start of production, the population potential must be determined. The proportion of males and females is 1:12 or 1:15. The cock has more waste of feed and less affects the yield.
Timely elimination of low-yielding chickens. High-yielding chickens generally maintain eggs for 10 to 15 weeks. Old and sick chickens and low-producing hens should be eliminated in time.
Feed reasonably. Rational grouping and quantitative feeding are adopted to prevent overweight laying hens.
Feed full price feed. Full-priced feed has a comprehensive nutritional profile, which can fully meet the needs of laying hens' growth and egg production, and consume less material.
