Eat more legumes to prevent prostate cancer in men

A survey of Swedish male citizens shows that regular consumption of legumes can help reduce the probability of prostate cancer in men. Experts believe that this is because phytoestrogens contained in legumes have anti-cancer effects.

According to the "Sweden Daily" report recently, researchers from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden compared 1499 prostate cancer patients with 1,130 healthy men and found that those who eat legumes have a higher probability of developing prostate cancer. 26% lower than men who do not eat legumes.

Experts pointed out that the phytoestrogens contained in legumes can reduce the carcinogenic risk of male hormones. Many foods in nature contain phytoestrogens such as soybeans, soybeans, and peanuts. An obvious example is the incidence of prostate cancer in Asia where there are more legumes than in Europe and the United States.

In Sweden, about 9,000 men develop prostate cancer each year, and prostate cancer has become the most common cancer among Swedish male citizens.
