Sorghum disease

Sorghum is scientific name Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench. Gramineae Sorghum is an annual herb. It is one of the major crops in China. The history of cultivation of sorghum in China has a long history. The production of sorghum is mainly based on sorghum grain, which is used for sugar, feed and technology. The sorghum has a well-developed root system, strong drought resistance, resistance to alfalfa, salt and alkali, tolerance to barrenness, and wide adaptability. The sorghum grain is mainly eaten. Its nutrient content and caloric content are no less than those of wheat and rice. The feed value of sorghum is similar to that of corn. The use of sorghum in industry is more extensive, such as brewing liquor, producing starch, paper making, sugar making, stuffing, fiberboard, and the like. From the perspective of the consumer market, the food market for sorghum will be smaller, but the forage and industrial markets will be greatly expanded. It seems that planting sorghum is one of the important ways to create economic benefits and make family rich. Sorghum is mainly distributed in the northeast and north China. There are more than 30 diseases of sorghum that have been reported in China. The main diseases are smut, leaf spot disease, anthrax, large spot disease, and virus disease.
