I. Experimental Overview The experimental platform is mainly used for small-sized rats, rabbits and other small animals to do treadmill exercise training, which can replace traditional swimming training, so that the training quantification is more clear. IV. Experimental methods and applications In the process of exercise training, the changes in exercise performance and exercise capacity of rats are closely observed to avoid the occurrence of excessive exercise fatigue. During the course of the experiment, rats were fed, watered, cleaned, and weighed and weighed once a week. Â
Observation of indicators during SD rats' exercise training: Â
(1) General conditions: including the "expression" and "evasion" reactions of rats. Rat "expression": Rats are quiet before exercise, sometimes lively and active, with quick response, eyes with a sense of sensation, and sensitive to food; when the exercise capacity of rats declines, the expression is cold and unresponsive. "Escape" response: Rats were more sensitive to the capture response before exercise. When the rats were captured, they showed an escape response to the experimenter. (2) Running posture: According to the squatting movement of the rat when running and the face of the abdomen contacting the running track, the rats are divided into three types: 1 squatting: the hind limbs are active and powerful, and the abdomen has no contact with the runway surface; 2 semi-recumbent position: the hind limbs are more difficult, the abdomen has contact with the runway surface; the 3rd position runs: the hind limbs are weak, and the abdomen is in contact with the runway surface. Observation and judgment of SD rats' athletic ability Â
In the course of the experiment, the rats' exercise ability was mainly determined according to the following indicators: Â
1 Can maintain the original strength work: When the rat just enters the running platform, the exercise of the specified intensity can generally be carried out, but after a period of time, additional stimulation (sound or electric stimulation) is required to maintain the original strength; Â
2 Stimulation frequency: The stimulation frequency is expressed as the number of times the rat is stimulated per minute. Rats may touch the back of the treadmill due to decreased exercise capacity, so they need to be stimulated by sound or electric stimulation (except when the rat just enters the running platform, intentionally touch the baffle against the movement), so that the rats can continue to exercise. When stimulating the rat, the sound stimulation is generally given first, and then the electrical stimulation is given. The deeper the fatigue of the rat, the higher the stimulation frequency; Â
3 Stimulation time: refers to the duration of each rat stimulation. The lower the exercise capacity of the rats, the longer the time of each stimulation. In the study, the stimulation time is divided into three grades, namely short-term stimulation (1s Internal), longer stimulation (1-2s) and prolonged stimulation (more than 2s); Â
4 After a short break or reduced exercise intensity, can the rats continue to exercise. Â
The performance of exhaustive exercise in rats: during the exercise, each stimulation time is above 1-2s, the stimulation frequency is above 4 times/min, and the original intensity work cannot be maintained. When the exercise intensity is reduced or after a short break (usually Within 10 minutes, mostly 5 minutes) the rats still could not resume their exercise capacity as exhaustion. Rats showed indifferent expression, slow response, lying in the lying position, and the abdomen was in contact with the runway surface. After 4 weeks of exercise training and intermittent hypoxia stimulation, the rats were burrowed for blood, for Hb, RBC count, HCT test, and the remaining blood was separated for serum, and T, C, EPO, BUN indicators were quantitatively determined.
