The deficiency of eggplant and its remedy
During the growth and development of eggplant, in the absence of a certain element, the external shape of the plant will generally show the corresponding deficiency symptoms, and production is often used as a basis for the diagnosis of deficiency syndrome.
In the absence of nitrogen in eggplants with nitrogen deficiency, the leaf color becomes pale, the old leaves yellow, and when it is severe, it will dry off and the buds will stop development and turn yellow, and the heart will become smaller. Remedial measures: When nitrogen deficiency is found in plants, topdressing nitrogen fertilizers such as urea and ammonium bicarbonate or human waste, or spraying 0.3% to 0.5% urea solution on foliar.
Calcium deficiency Eggplant calcium deficiency, the plant growth is slow, growth point malformation, young leaves rim chlorosis, leaves reticular veins brown, showing rust-like leaves. Remedial measures: When calcium deficiency is found in plants, apply calcium fertilizer in time, or spray with 20% calcium chloride solution, spray once every 5 days, and spray 2 or 3 times.
Phosphorus deficiency Phosphorus deficiency in eggplant, the stem is slender, fiber developed, flower bud differentiation and the resulting period of extension, leaves become smaller, darker color, red veins. Remedy: When a plant is found to be deficient in phosphorus, it shall be sprayed with 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution or 0.5% calcium superphosphate leachate.
Potassium deficient disease eggplant potassium deficiency, the initial heart is smaller, slower growth, lighter leaf color; late chlorosis between leaves, yellow-white plaques, leaf edge gradually dry. Remedial measures: When potassium deficiency is found, potassium fertilizer and organic fertilizer are added in a timely manner. Usually, potassium sulfate or potassium chloride (10-15 kg per mu) is used to chase the plants on both sides of the plant; 0.2%-0.3% of phosphoric acid is used. Potassium hydrogen solution or 10% of the ash leaching solution is sprayed on the leaves.
Magnesium deficiency When eggplants are deficient in magnesium, near the veins, especially near the main veins, the tissues turn yellow, the leaves become chlorotic, the fruits become smaller and the development is poor. In production, eggplant magnesium deficiency disease is more common remedial measures: When magnesium deficiency is found, magnesium fertilizers such as magnesium sulfate, magnesium chloride, and magnesium nitrate are added. These fertilizers are soluble in water and are easily absorbed and utilized. Can also be used 1% ~ 3% magnesium sulfate solution or 1% magnesium nitrate solution foliar spray.
When the eggplant is iron-deficient in iron deficiency, the young leaves and the new leaves are yellow-white, and the veins remain green. Iron deficiency often occurs in soils with acidic, fertile, and high humidity conditions. Remedy: When plants are found to be deficient in iron, they are sprayed with 0.5% to 1% ferrous sulfate solution.
Boron deficient in eggplant, boron from the parietal lobe, withering, top stem and petiole break, the internal black, stems with cork crack. Remedy: When plants are found to be deficient in boron, they are sprayed with 0.05% to 0.2% borax solution or boric acid solution in time.
Manganese deficiency Manganese deficiency, the new leaf veins are yellow-green, soon turn brown, veins are still green. Remedy: When plants are found to be deficient in manganese, they are sprayed with 1% manganese sulfate solution.
Zinc deficiency When eggplant is deficient in zinc, the leaves are small and clustered, yellow spots appear on the new leaves, and they gradually develop toward the leaf margins, causing whole leaf yellowing. Remedy: When plants are found to be deficient in zinc, they are sprayed with 0.1% zinc sulfate solution.
In the absence of molybdenum, molybdenum deficiency in mottled eggplant, from the time of fruit enlargement, yellow spots occur between the veins, and the leaf margin curls to the inside. Remedy: When plants are found to be deficient in molybdenum, they are sprayed with 0.01% to 0.1% ammonium molybdate solution.
