How to fertilize rose leaves
Supplying plant fertilizers through the soil through the roots is the main method of fertilization. In addition, there is currently a method of directly spraying liquid fertilizers on the foliage to promote rose growth, especially if the soil conditions are not conducive to the growth of rose flowers. Using this method can achieve significant results.
After fertilization, the plant branches increased, the volume increased, the robustness, the resistance to disease increased, the flowering number increased by 20% to 30%, and the flower color was also more beautiful: especially in the early spring when the temperature was low, the plants had not taken sufficient nitrogen fertilizer from the soil. When using the foliage, the effect of fertilization is even more pronounced. However, it should be noted that this method can only play a supporting role and cannot replace conventional soil fertilization.
Foliar fertilization is a method in which fertilizer dissolved in water passes through the stomata on the leaves or the stratum corneum on the leaf surface and gradually penetrates into the leaves to act on the plants. Therefore, to ensure the smooth entry of fertilizer into the leaves is the key to fertilization. Use the following points when applying:
1 Not all fertilizers can be used as foliar fertilizers. Only inorganic fertilizers with good solubility can be used, such as commonly used urea, sulfuric acid hinges, ammonium nitrate, potassium chloride, and superphosphate.
2 should be carried out in the morning and evening when the temperature is relatively low, humidity is relatively high, and there is no wind, so that the fertilizer solution penetrates into the foliage sufficiently and remains dry at about 1 o'clock so that the fertilizer fully penetrates into the interior of the blade.
3 The young leaves absorb faster than the old leaves, and the absorption of leaves is faster than the leaves. When applying fertilizers, care must be taken to spray the canopy and the leaves of the plants.
4 Can be sprayed together with insecticides and fungicides to achieve the dual effects of nutrient supply and pest control.
5 Fertilizer should be brewed in advance before spraying so that it can be fully dissolved and impurities and precipitates should be filtered out. The speed of fertilizer entering the leaves is related to the concentration of fertilizer and water. The lighter the easier it is to infiltrate, but the too light fertilizer effect will be reduced. Generally, it should be diluted more than 100 times by weight.
6 In order to make the fertilizer liquid adhere to the leaf surface (especially the back of the leaf), it is better to spray it with fine atomized watering cans.
