Layer chicken knowledge

In the phased rearing of laying hens, it usually takes 1-2 transfers, from the bred house to the breeding house for the first time, and from the rearing house to the laying house the second time. Transferring is an important part of the feeding and management process. If not handled properly, there will be greater stress. To strive to achieve:

1. According to the time, the chicks were transferred to the rearing house after 6 weeks of age and transferred to the laying house at 17-18 weeks of age. Early turns allow the hens to adapt to the new environment. Transferring is best done in the morning or evening.

2. Feeding should be stopped 6 hours before group transfer, 2 days before group transfer and 3 days after group transfer. Add vitamins or drink electrolyte solution in feed twice. The first day of transfer should be lighted for 24 hours so that the chicken has enough time to eat and drink.

3. Reduce the temperature difference between the two sheds when transferring from a brooding house to a breeding house. Gradually change the feed.

4. In order to count and select chickens in combination with transfer groups, eliminate weak chickens.

5. Do not perform other immunization measures at the same time when transferring.

6. Do a good job in group organization, organize good manpower and material resources, and avoid personnel cross-infection.

7. Observe the dynamics of the chickens. When the chickens are just transferred, the chickens are prone to pull white dilute feces, and gradually normal afterwards. Observe the behavior of the birds such as feeding and drinking.
